Premarital Counseling
Move In | Premarital Counseling
Premarital Counseling is not only for couples preparing for marriage, but also for those moving in together or otherwise leaning toward a more serious level of commitment. As more and more couples are choosing to live together, either in lieu of or prior to marriage, I am seeing a rise in this mode of treatment. Some singles report having spent considerable time in relationships that, for one reason or another, didn't work out. Before leaning toward a more serious level of commitment, many are eager to know their partners better.
Early on in relationships, couples tend to make assumptions about one another's values, habits, and desires in life. When embarking on counseling together, they often discover differences and are relieved to talk about ways of working through them in a warm and guided space. And who couldn't benefit from discussing communication skills and conflict resolution?
Couples seeking counseling are often gratified having their attention brought to important life considerations, finding that it engenders connection and establishes a significant groundwork for the relationship
Topics we will cover include (but are not limited to):
- Intimacy

As some premarital counseling is religiously focused promoting a belief or faith perspective, this one is not. We are, however, unbiased and open to discussing the importance of religion from the client's perspective.
